Care Worker Action is home care workers coming together to build community and win higher wages, benefits, and better conditions on the job.
We care deeply about our work and our clients, but we aren’t paid enough to make ends meet, receive few benefits, and sometimes work in conditions that are unsafe for our clients and ourselves.
We know that when home care workers are valued, our clients and communities thrive with us.
Winning a Raise, Together
This spring, when we come together, we can win a raise for home care workers and more support for our clients.
But it won’t happen unless we unite to push politicians to listen to our concerns and needs. Want to be part of the campaign? Contact Sabrina with any questions at 651-379-0762 or sabrina@takeactionminnesota.org
It’s Been Done Before
When home care workers have come together in other states, they’ve won:
- higher wages,
- paid time off,
- medical insurance,
- paid travel time,
- the right to unionize, and
- greater training and support.
Care Worker Action is an arm of TakeAction Minnesota, an organization with a decade’s worth of experience making meaningful changes for Minnesotans including:
- raising the minimum wage,
- saving MinnesotaCare, and
- banning the criminal history box on job applications.
