Hosted by Congressman Keith Ellison.
Every day, the Trump administration attacks something that we as Minnesotans hold dear – inclusion, fairness, peace, economic equality. The cronies he tapped to run the Environmental Protection Agency are doing to the same thing to our environment. Whether hacking entire programs, eliminating thousands of vital positions, rolling back rules that fought climate change, gutting science advisory panels, or stacking the agency with industry shills, it’s clear that Trump’s EPA is trying to do everything but protect the environment.
Despite the current situation, there is reason to hope. Come and join Congressman Ellison along with environmental advocates, scientists, and musicians to learn about Trump’s plan for the EPA and how we’re fighting back in Congress.… Continue reading »

On July 5th, concerned community members of the sixth Congressional District will come together to share their stories of how recent votes made by Rep. Tom Emmer will directly effect themselves and their families. Together, we have attempted to share our stories with Tom Emmer multiple times in many different ways, and his actions in DC show that he is not hearing us or responding to our concerns, particularly on health care and the devastating impacts of the AHCA (also known as TrumpCare). Together, Concerned Citizens of District Six have raised money from every day people to share their concerns with Tom Emmer via several billboards placed around the Sixth District.
Join us, bring signs and share your story and concerns! Register here so we can send you details. … Continue reading »

We believe we can make meaning of this political time by resisting and building like never before. In the final day of session, the actions and strategies we use are setting the foundation for future progress: having the power to set the agenda.
Hosted by our Climate Justice & leaders in Duluth, join TakeAction members at the State Capitol on May 22 . It’s critical we make our voices heard to our legislators and show that we are a forced to be reckoned. Show up to resist the many dangerous bills that will harm our communities, like preemption, or bills that cut millions from public health care programs, bills that will pollute the air we breath and water we drink, and others. Show up to believe that we can, and must, continue to fight for a Minnesota where all of us can thrive, no matter who’s the majority at the legislature or who’s our President.
Transportation provided from Greater MN – food also provided. Please let us know if you have childcare needs. Register here. … Continue reading »

This pipeline is a risk to our water, climate, lands, and communities and violates treaty rights – we need to make sure our voices are heard. The People’s Climate March (2.0) is happening in Washington DC to challenge the backwards and dangerous policies of the Trump Administration and the threat they pose to our climate and our communities.
This is a moment to bring the range of progressive social change movements together. Pushing back against the Trump agenda and at the same time pushing forward on our vision of a clean, safe world where the rights of all people are protected and expanded means we all must work together.
Join us on and march on April 29th as we resist, build, and rise in the face of the threats to our communities. We’ll be starting at 2pm at the Federal Building in downtown Minneapolis for a march and rally through downtown.… Continue reading »

Join us for a community stakeholder forum on Inclusive Financing, a financing tool that, implemented locally as part of a broader strategy, opens up game-changing access to clean, affordable, and community-owned energy. Those who would benefit most from cost-saving upgrades are also the many energy-users currently excluded due to income, home-ownership status, or credit score (renters, low and moderate income individuals and businesses in rural and urban areas). Inclusive Financing is one step in redefining energy users (whether residents, businesses, non-profits, or local governments) as key decision-makers and energy producers rather than passive consumers.
