Bahieh Hartshorn joined TakeAction Minnesota in January 2019 as the Movement Politics Leadership Program Manager. Before joining as Staff she was the co-chair of TakeAction Minnesota’s political committee. She previously worked as the organizer of the West Side Community Organization, where she worked in investing, developing, and organizing West Side residents to build decision making power of West Siders within the City of St. Paul. Bahieh also developed the first West Side indigenous womxn and womxn of color table. She is deeply committed and passionate in the work of centering and working towards systemic elevation of Indigenous womxn and womxn of color. As MPL Program Manager she is creating and imagining a program that is intentional about centering, electing, and developing leadership of Minnesotans who are closest to the pain and clearer about building the joyful, more free, people centered state. When she’s not doing that, you will probably find her at a brewery drinking an IPA.
