The Type of Governor We Need

Instead, she asked me how my health is doing, if I’m getting the care I need, and if I’m taking care of myself. This is the type of governor we need. Someone who is clear that their own self-interest is dependent on the healing of their community.

WOC Political Healers 9/10/18

WOC Political Healers are cis and trans womxn and femmes of color who believe that we are worthy of investment and that we have a role in leveraging resources for the betterment of our communities.  This event is about us getting together, sharing a meal, and co-creating our electoral strategy to make sure that our collective power is wielded on our terms and for our collective healing.

We are a space that is created by/with/for womxn of color.  We define womxn of color as anyone who identifies personally with the intentions of this space.  Cis and trans womxn and femmes of color will be centered throughout this event.  No prior experience in politics is necessary.

Health Care Day of Action

Join us at TakeAction’s office for a health care direct action led by Women of Color at 11 am, and then ride the light rail with us to the Capitol for a joint Lobby Day with our allies from ISAIAH and MNA at 1 pm. If you can’t make it at 11 am you can meet us directly at 1 pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 105 University Ave W, St. Paul, MN 55103.

It’s time to share our stories with the decision-makers and demand access to quality, affordable health care!
